The Mt. Ararat field hockey team scored three goals in the first half en route to a 3-0 victory over Edward Little in Auburn on Wednesday.
Maddy Sweet and Krystah Coen opened the scoring in the first quarter for the Eagles (3-1-1).
Grace Roy set up Mackenzie Joler in the fourth quarter for Edward Little’s only goal.
Eagles goalie Jaymie Bergman stopped nine shots, and Arabella Harris made six saves for the Red Eddies (2-4).
TUESDAY’S GIRLS SOCCER
MORSE 1, LINCOLN ACADEMY 0: The Eagles (1-2-1) more than doubled the amount of shots the Shipbuilders (3-0-1) took, but Morse held on in Bath.
Freshman Avery Mayer scored in the 24th minute after intercepting a goal kick.
Lincoln Academy outshot the hosts, 28-12.
BRUNSWICK 2, EDWARD LITTLE 0: Eva Kousky and Hazel Bachman scored as the Dragons (3-1) beat the Red Eddies (1-3) in Brunswick.
Brunswick outshot the visitors, 19-2.
TUESDAY’S BOYS SOCCER
MORSE 4, LINCOLN ACADEMY 2: Alejandro Estaben scored twice in the first half as the Shipbuilders (2-2) beat the Eagles (1-2-1) in Newcastle.
Lawson Mayer scored in the 42nd minute, before Austin Wood scored Morse’s final goal in the 48th minute with an assist from Alcide Demers.
Richard Pelikan and Alvaro Cabrera Hernandez both scored in the final 15 minutes for Lincoln Academy.
MONDAY’S FIELD HOCKEY
GARDINER 8, MORSE 1: Avry MacMaster, Zoey Sullivan-Brennan, Davyn Swindells and Brynlea Chaisson all scored twice as the Tigers (1-2) rolled in Gardiner.
Macy Hickey and Chaisson each had an assist.
Liv Drewniak scored for Morse, assisted by Laura Kelly.
BRUNSWICK 1, BREWER 1: Nieve Logan tied the game for the Dragons (1-3-1) on a penalty corner with 28 seconds left in regulation. The game in Brewer would end in a tie after double-overtime.
Syrina Zavala scored on a penalty corner for the Witches (1-1-1) as time expired in the third quarter.
LISBON 2, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 1: Melanie Simmons scored in the fourth quarter to lift the Greyhounds (4-0-1) over the Phoenix (3-1) in Jay.
Alivia Saunders scored the other Lisbon goal.
Aisia Armandi scored with an assist from Linda Lake for Spruce Mountain.
