Carter Costello, Freeport junior: Costello returns to the No. 2 position and will again play a large role as the Falcons attempt to defend their Western Maine Conference championship.
Johnny Johnston III, Morse senior: Johnston is the top returner for the Shipbuilders, last season’s KVAC B champion and state runners-up. He made his second state championship tournament appearance in 2024 and shot 17-over to tie for 23rd.
Cameron McCarren, Morse freshman: At the Val Halla Golf Course in July, McCarren shot 26-over to win the 12-13-age flight of the Maine Junior Championship by four strokes.
Ryan Savona, Freeport junior: The Falcons’ top golfer in 2024 won the WMC qualifier at 3-over and shot 16-over in the Class B state championship to tie for 17th. Over the summer, Savona won his second-straight 14-15 Maine Junior Championship and placed second overall in the Southern Maine Junior Open.
Kai Stockford, Mt. Ararat senior: Look for the Eagles’ lone senior to be their low scorer, as coach Mike Crawford says that Stockford has been the squad’s most consistent golfer so far.
