Musician David Byrne’s ‘Who Is The Sky?’ tour’ will include a stop at Merrill Auditorium in Portland Oct. 8.
Presales for tickets on porttix.com began at 10 a.m. on Wednesday with the code “CHEERFUL”. Tickets range from $99 and go up to $651 for a VIP experience. There is a four-ticket limit.
Byrne first became famous as the lead singer of Talking Heads, which released eight studio albums between 1977 and 1988, featuring iconic tracks such as “Psycho Killer,” “Once in a Lifetime” and “And She Was.”
As a solo artist and collaborator, Byrne’s catalog features 11 albums. The tour for his 2018 album, “American Utopia,” included a stop at Merrill Auditorium. A year later, the show became a Broadway production.
Most recently, Byrne made a surprise appearance during pop singer Olivia Rodrigo’s performance at the Governors Ball Festival in New York City last week, when the two sang the Talking Heads hit “Burning Down the House.”
