The Richmond School Department will open registration this month for next school year’s public preschool and kindergarten.
Registration for 2025-26 preschool at the Marcia Buker School is June 10-12. To attend pre-K, a child must be 4 years of age by Oct. 15, 2025, and be a resident of Richmond or have a superintendents’ agreement to attend pre-K in Richmond.
Kindergarten registration for the 2025-26 year at the Marcia Buker School is June 16-17. To attend kindergarten in Richmond, a child must be 5 years of age by Oct. 15, 2025, and be a resident of Richmond or have a superintendents’ agreement to attend kindergarten in Richmond.
Preschool and kindergarten children will be screened in the areas of health, language, motor skills, basic concepts and social/emotional development. Parents/guardians will need to provide a birth certificate and immunization records.
