LB. Kitchen, a popular all-day cafe serving healthful foods at the foot of Munjoy Hill in Portland, is slated to open a convenience store with a healthful slant at Rock Row in Westbrook on Monday, according to a news release.

LB. Mini-Mart, the 600-square-foot market at 11 Rock Row, is part of the development’s Health Campus. It will have a small cafe with kiosk service and many grab-and-go items. The dishes and drinks resemble those at the original cafe, with items such as kale Caesar salad, bone broth, sandwiches (West Coast Sprout Sandwich), wraps (Chickpea Salad Wrap) and muesli. Containers of soups and salads will be for sale to take home, and a drinks menu includes coffee, tea, golden milk, chai and “Shroom Shield.”

The mart will also sell nonfood items, such as supplements, functional snacks, stationery, journals, lotions, salves and vitamins.

“We don’t subscribe to the idea that to be quick and easy, one has to sacrifice nutrition or taste: We believe well-being, whatever that means to an individual’s diet, should still be convenient,” Bryna Gootkind, co-founder of LB. Kitchen, said in the news release. “With LB. Mini-Mart, we’re bringing together the best of both worlds — flavor and function.”

The store will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The business is one of several such stores planned, with additional locations expected to be announced later this year, the release said.
