As I sit here this morning, watching the latest news, I am really amazed at what is happening to our country.
As I hear that Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid are possibly on the “chopping block,” I think about how this will affect all of us who count on Social Security — money that we earned — will survive. I can’t speak for anyone else, but our benefits — along with two small pensions from my husband’s employer — are what we live on. Many Medicare and Medicaid recipients will suffer in so many ways that I can’t even imagine.
Are our senators and representatives going to work together to ensure that these benefits continue or are they going to stand by and let President Trump and Elon Musk continue to tear our country apart?
