John “Tim” Wheaton was elected to the Yarmouth School Committee in a special election held on Oct. 21.
Wheaton, who ran unopposed, received 226 votes and has served on the School Committee previously. Wheaton is serving out the reminder of former School Committee Member David Ray’s term, so he will only hold the seat until June. Ray resigned in September for health reasons.
