Maine House of Representatives District 134: Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, Biddeford
Democrat and incumbent Traci Gere is opposed by Republican Elizabeth Jordan, a Maine native who has previously worked in elder care and is a believer in smaller government.
Jordan did not respond to the Post’s request for comment.

TRACI GERE
City/Town: Kennebunkport
Relevant Experience: I have represented the people of District 134 (Kennebunkport and coastal Biddeford and Kennebunk) in the Maine House for four years, advocating for and passing legislation to help our district and serving on the Labor and Housing Committee and the Joint Select Committee on Housing.
Why are you running for office?
I have a deep connection to our community, and I ran for this office in 2020 to solve problems for the people of our district. We’ve made good progress on housing, workforce and job training, and economic development, and I am running for re-election to keep this progress going.
What are your top three priorities?
My focus during my two terms in the legislature has been on making it more affordable to live and work in Maine and in my district by increasing the availability of housing, returning state revenue sharing to municipalities, and helping people gain access to education and training. If re-elected, I will focus on:
Helping our communities and people prosper by continuing to build a growing, strong, and sustainable economy.
Assist municipalities in planning for and adapting to a changing future.
Address the impacts of climate change and sea level rise.
