Khloe O’Leary belted two triples and drove in three runs as fourth-seeded Poland earned a spot in the Class B South softball semifinals by defeating No. 5 Morse 11-0 in five innings Friday at Poland.

Olivia Rioux contributed a two-run double, and Sydney Lacombe hit a double and a single. Gretchyn Paradis pitched a one-hitter with six strikeouts.

The Knights (14-3) will face top-seeded York at 1 p.m. Saturday.

GARDINER 11, LEAVITT 1: Corinne Vasvary sparked a five-run third inning with an RBI triple, and Ray Gilbert and Grace Plourde each added a two-run double as the second-seeded Tigers (15-2) beat the No. 7 Hornets (12-6) in six innings in a Class B South quarterfinal at Central Maine Community College.

Vasvary also had a sacrifice fly in the first inning and an RBI double during a four-run sixth. Gilbert ended the game via the 10-run rule when she singled home Kylie Boardman in the sixth.

Gardiner, the defending state champion, plays No. 3 Lake Region in the semifinals on Saturday.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 14, RICHMOND 3: Kailyn McIntyre finished with three RBI as the top-seeded Panthers (16-1) won a five-inning Class D South semifinal over the fifth-seeded Bobcats (10-8) in Yarmouth.

Lily Rawnsley, Elizabeth Madden, Jordan Nash and Hayden Wienckowski all hit a double and Cami Casserly belted a triple for NYA, which will play Buckfield or Searsport in the regional final Tuesday at St. Joseph’s College.

OXFORD HILLS 7, EDWARD LITTLE 0: Kyeria Morse struck out 12 and allowed three hits for the top-seeded Vikings (16-1) in a Class A North quarterfinal win over the eighth-seeded Red Eddies (8-9) in Paris.

Oxford Hills took control with a four-run first inning. Kaydence Morse hit a two-run single, then scored on an error before Cameron Mayhan made it 4-0 with an RBI single.

The Vikings added three runs in the third, with the help of RBI singles by Charlotte McGreevy and Mayhan.

SKOWHEGAN 4, HAMPDEN ACADEMY 0: Lillian Noyes allowed only two hits, and Arabel Linkletter hit a two-run double to go along wtih an outstanding catch in right field as the third-seeded River Hawks (15-2) advanced to the Class A North semifinals with a win over the No. 6 Broncos (9-8) at Colby College.

GIRLS’ LACROSSE

LINCOLN ACADEMY 15, MORSE 10: Mariam DeLisle tied the school record with nine goals as the third-seeded Eagles (11-4) reached the Class C semifinals for the first time, defeating the sixth-seeded Shipbuilders (7-8) in Newcastle.

Marley LeBel added three goals and two assists, and Celia Brinkler, Abby Kopp and Scarlett O’Brien also scored for the Eagles. Lincoln goalie Scarlett Stone stopped 12 shots.

Lillian Pomerleau led Morse with three goals. Zoe Avery and Micah Wolfe each scored twice.

BASEBALL

ST. DOMINIC 5, RICHMOND 3: Tim Ouellette hit a two-run homer in the top of the ninth inning, and Ashton Hammond pitched 8 1/3 innings of scoreless relief as the third-seeded Saints (12-5) advanced to the Class D South final by defeating No. 2 Richmond (12-5) in nine innings.

Hammond took over on the mound after Ouellette gave up three runs in the first inning. Hammond allowed only three hits and walked two as St. Dom’s, the defending state champion, advanced to face Searsport or Valley in the regional final Tuesday at St. Joseph’s College.

The Saints tied the game in the third inning with the help of three walks. Riley Daigle hit a two-run single.

Richmond catcher Hunter Mason had two hits and threw out three runners attempting to steal.
