For an entirely unique experience, head to downtown Portland for an evening event called Mysticism through the Arts. There you’ll find tarot card and spiritual readings, belly dancers, a visual arts lounge and a handful of vendors selling magical handmade gifts and art. It’s being held at Free Street Restaurant & Cocktail bar, so there will be no shortage of food and drinks available for purchase. Open your mind for an expansive evening.

For some midweek enlightenment and education, head to the St. Lawrence Arts Center for a stage event that’s all about menopause, perimenopause and adjacent health experiences. Erin LaPlante and Stephanie Lazenby present “Period. The End?,” a show that blends performance art and panel discussions designed to leave audience members, regardless of whether you have a uterus, feeling empowered. Featured performers are Sara Juli, Sandi Clark and Monica Dorley, and the panelists are author and pleasure therapist Krista Haapala, gynecologist Dr. Sonjia Nelson and menopausal consultant Margot Kingston.
