The final session in a three-part series on understanding gender and sexuality will be held at 6:30 p.m. June 7 at Prince Memorial Library in Cumberland.
“Understanding Gender and Sexuality” is led by Christine Caulfield, a volunteer for MaineTransNet, a statewide nonprofit that supports transgender people. Caulfield, a retired high school teacher, facilitates programs for transgender people aged 35 and older.
The program is designed to help educate those who want to better understand what their children or grandchildren are discussing or experiencing, or those who want to understand the best ways to communicate with gender non-conforming people. The library emphasizes that the workshop is for educational purposes and is not an opportunity for political discourse.
Registration is required.
