Deering senior Coleman Ballweg, joined by his parents, Holly and Scott, and teammates/captains Santino Cavallaro, Andrew Burke and Trip Marston, signs his celebratory commitment letter to attend and play lacrosse next year at Salem State University in Massachusetts, at the Division III level.
“I was looking at a bunch of schools and I found Salem State last,” said Ballweg, a midfielder/attack who plans to study health sciences. “I liked that it’s close to home, close to Boston, close to the water. I also had a connection with the coach.
“It’s super-exciting. I didn’t know playing at the next level was possible until this year when I started looking.”
