The Falmouth School Board has approved the hiring of Richard Gowers as permanent principal of Falmouth High School.
Gowers was hired in 2022 as interim principal. Before that he was principal of the School for Independent Learners in Los Altos, California.
He earned a PhD in U.S. History from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, and he taught in Australia and New Zealand before moving to the United States in 2004, according the town.
