Russell Henson, Brandon Briggs and Garrett Aceto scored third-period goals to lift fourth-seeded York to a 4-1 win over fifth-seeded Leavitt/Gray-New Gloucester/Oak Hill/Poland in a Class B South boys’ hockey quarterfinal Wednesday night in Dover, New Hampshire.

Luke Douris got the tying goal in the second period for the Wildcats (11-7-1), who advance to play top-seeded Brunswick, the defending state champion.

LEWISTON 6, ST. DOMINIC 1: Ethan Blue and Dylan Blue each scored twice as the eighth-seeded Blue Devils (7-11-1) beat the No. 9 Saints (7-12) in a Class A prelim in Lewiston.

Lewiston led 1-0 after one period on a goal just 14 seconds into the game by Dylan Blue, who then set up Ethan Blue for a pair of goals in the second period. The first of those goals was on a power play, and the second deflected off the glove of St. Dom’s goalie Jayden Lynn (27 saves).

Dylan Blue also assisted on Andrew Theriault’s goal that made it 4-0 early in the third, then extended the lead to 5-0.

Tim Ouellette of St. Dom’s broke up Gabe Pomerleau’s shutout bid with 4:52 remaining. Lewiston’s Aizyk Laliberte capped the scoring.

Pomerleau finished with 12 saves, for the Blue Devils, who next face top-ranked Falmouth in the quarterfinals.
