Students at Williams-Cone School in Topsham are silver medalists, earning a second-place win in the 6th annual WinterKids Winter Games.
Entering the Winter Games for the first time this year, Williams-Cone beat out 14 other schools across the state for second place and $3,000 in prize money, WinterKids announced Wednesday. Taking first place was Leroy H. Smith School of Winterport.
The Winter Games is a four week series of challenges in outdoor physical activity, nutrition, family engagement and winter carnival. The nonprofit WinterKids organization that helps children develop healthy lifelong habits through education and fun, outdoor winter activity. The organization delivers outdoor programs for families, schools and communities.
