What to think of Republicans? Republicans who think the only fair election is one that they win. Republicans who still don’t believe President Biden won the 2020 election but can’t provide any evidence to support that view. Republicans who are doing their best to restrict the voting of those they think are less likely to support them. Republicans who believe the Jan. 6 insurrection was simply a “normal tourist visit” to the Capitol. Republicans who don’t denounce the political violence of their supporters.
Republicans, the anti-democracy, anti-rule-of-law party. By the way, this is not to imply support for the Democratic Party, as they also have many negative characteristics, some of which they share with Republicans. Characteristics like capture by the rich and powerful, blind support for the military-industrial complex, etc. It’s just that the Democratic Party negatives pale in comparison to the Republican.
