Charlotte Anne Curtis 1941 – 2022 BRUNSWICK – We are sad to announce the passing of our beloved Charlotte Anne Curtis. She passed away Oct. 14, 2022 after a brief illness. She was the youngest daughter of her loving parents, John and Mary Curtis, Brunswick. Charlotte graduated from Brunswick High School in 1959 and Glendale Community College in 1969. Charlotte’s heart and soul belonged to the Wild West where she made numerous trips to visit the deserts of California, Arizona and Nevada. She spent her childhood on the back of a horse and throughout her lifetime passed that love on to family and friends. She enjoyed her summer cottage at Center Pond and worked at L.L.Bean until retirement. She was a devoted member of Friends Quaker Meeting in Durham and spent years as a volunteer caretaker of the church following in the footsteps of her father. She always said: “Always leave something better than you found it.” She truly believed in Rev: 21-4. “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain.” In the true spirit of Char, she wanted everyone to know that she “has not passed but is riding into the sunset.” Charlotte was predeceased by her parents; her brother, David Curtis and her sister, Phyllis Wetherell. She is survived by her brother, John Curtis, his wife Millie; her nieces and nephews; her beloved dog, Annie; and her close friend, Donna Ricker. Char will be missed by all her extended family, Phyllis Wetherell’s children, Susan Geier (Dale Edson), Linda Freimuth (Rick), David John Wetherell (Jennifer) and Lynne Wetherell Otto; John Curtis’s children, Catherine Ruegsegger (Doug), Kelly Curtis (Michelle), Leann Fisher (Rich); David Curtis’s children, Clint Curtis, Wes Curtis, Christy Curtis (deceased), Carl Montgomery, Kent Montgomery, Barbara Montgomery, Beth Krawzzyk.
