2022 marks the 30th year that the law firm of Hopkinson and Abbondanza has been serving the Maine community. Starting out as a partnership, Jim Hopkinson and Rick Abbondanza decided early on to focus on specific legal areas tailored to individual clients’ needs. H&A has grown to be one of the preeminent and best-known law firms in Maine specializing in estate planning, elder law, estate administration, real estate law and corporate law.

“Maine used to be a hidden real estate gem,” Hopkinson said. “In the last 30 years, our market area has undergone an amazing transformation in values.”

Hopkinson and Abbodanza continue to lead the firm, along with Partner Gerald “Jay” Schofield and associate Nicholas A. Tomso. The firm hosts locations in Portland and Bath and shows no signs of slowing down.
