Paul Hodgetts is running for a Select Board seat in North Yarmouth. Paul has lived and run a business in North Yarmouth for decades and has served well on several committees, including the community center and saving our veteran’s park and Sharp’s Field from being sold for development. He is about saving the town’s rural character.
Public opinion surveys in North Yarmouth have been benefits polls without associated costs. Paul knows that real plans require understanding real outcomes and costs to avoid becoming divisive.
Paul favors senior housing that people can afford and wonders why the planner has stuck to the current zoning that discouraged it in the first four projects in the Village Center. Where are the feasibility studies to show that commercial development is viable in North Yarmouth?
Paul knows the people whose houses are becoming unaffordable for them as town and school costs climb.
