Elizabeth Littell had three goals and four assists as Portland rolled to a 16-1 win over Westbrook in a girls’ lacrosse season opener Saturday at Fitzpatrick Stadium.

Chelsea Dana and Jane Marvin each had two goals and an assist, Lilah Green and Mia Merrill added two goals apiece, and Ella Regan finished with a goal and two assists.

Addie Farmer, Bobby Sue Villani, Lauren Gerber and Emily Seavey also scored, while Taysia Blazejewski and Isabelle Moran each had an assist.

BOYS’ LACROSSE

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 14, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 0: Brayden Ward scored five goals for the Panthers in a mutual opener at Yarmouth.

Caleb Waterman contributed a goal and three assists, and Chas Rohde scored twice.

BOYS’ HOCKEY

TRAVIS ROY AWARD: The best senior player in Class A boys’ hockey will be honored Sunday at the Travis Roy Award ceremony, to be held at 1 p.m. at Norway Savings Bank Arena in Auburn.

This year’s finalists, selected by Class A coaches, are Edward Little defenseman Will Cassidy, Falmouth forward Owen Drummey and Lewiston goalie Keegan McLaughlin.
