GORHAM 2, THORNTON ACADEMY 1: Molly Murray scored with 12:26 left in the first half, then again with 24:51 to go in the second, to lift the Rams past the Trojans in a field hockey game at Hill Stadium in Saco on Friday.

Madison Vachon made one step in net for Thornton.

KENNEBUNK 1, FALMOUTH 0: Taylor Creech scored the lone goal to help the Rams take down the Yachtsmen in Falmouth.

Haley Moody finished with 11 saves for Kennebunk.

MASSABESIC 6, WESTBROOK 2: Emma Snyder and Micaela Jacobs each had three goals as the Mustangs won an opener at Westbrook. Katie Champagne and Lily Ranco scored for Westbrook with Champagne assisting on Ranco’s goal. Julia Gregoire had 12 saves for the Mustangs. Aria Brunner stopped eight shots for the Blue Blazes.

BOYS SOCCER

WESTBROOK 5, BIDDEFORD 1: Venecious Kai and Dante Lingley each scored their first varsity goal, and Ahmed Qasem added two goals and Yahya Altaie had the other for the Blue Blazes in an opener at Westbrook. Alex Thurlow scored and Brady Ham had seven saves for the Tigers.

GIRLS SOCCER

BONNY EAGLE 2, THORNTON ACADEMY 0: Hailey Koons scored 10:00 into the first half to give the Scots a 1-0 lead as they went on to beat the Trojans, 2-0, in a girls’ soccer game in Standish Friday afternoon.

Thornton extended its lead with 26:00 remaining in the second half when Koons set up Emily Byrne for a goal just inside the 18-yard box.

Grace Mears finished with 11 saves for the Trojans.
