FREEPORT — Margaret Perrotta tallied seven points to power the Freeport High School girls lacrosse team to a 14-7 Western Maine Conference win over Wells on Wednesday.
Perrotta had four goals and three assists as the Falcons completed the regular season with an 8-4 record. Freeport is currently fourth in the Class C Heal Point Standings and will likely face North Yarmouth Academy in a quarterfinal next week.
Allison Greuel had four goals and an assist for the Falcons, with Molly Whelan (three goals, assist), Ellie Whittier (goal, assist), Myah Jensen (goal) and Maggie Ryan (goal) also scoring.
Kristina Moody scored a hat trick for Wells, with Bri Michaud-Nolan (two goals), Rhiannon McQuaide (goal) and Franny Ramsdell (goal) figuring in the scoring.
Freeport goaltender Piper Sherbert had eight saves.
Softball
WALES — Miranda Kramer had three RBIs to lead Oak Hill to the 12-0 Mountain Valley Conference victory over Wiscasset.
The Wolverines finished the season with a 1-15 mark.
Kramer drove in two in a six-run first for Oak Hill (13-3), and Sadie Waterman had nine strikeouts and allowed two hits to earn the victory in the circle.
