Editor,

Regarding Gordon Weil’s column of May 11 “Why Trump’s tax returns should be made public…”

There is one very good reason why Trump’s tax returns should NOT be made public:  It’s none of your damned business!
Something to hide?  If Trump had violated any tax laws, the IRS would have exposed it while Obama was still in office.
The NY Times “revelation” of Trump’s multibillion dollar losses in the 1990s?  Trump himself acknowledged those losses many years ago on his TV show, “The Apprentice.”  Then he made his big comeback in the 2000s.
Trump amassed his fortune prior to running for political office.  Would you like to know how did he do it?  Read his books.
Personally, I’d love to see the tax returns of all those politicians in Congress who became fabulously wealthy DURING their terms in office.  But’s that’s none of my business.
Trump is not following any of the precedents established by past presidents.  Thank God!  The Economy is booming, unemployment is at record lows, workforce engagement is at record highs, taxpayers have more take home pay, the Military has been strengthened and morale improved, NATO partners are beginning to pay their fair share, we are not at war with North Korea, the stock market is healthier than ever, and the Supreme Court has a Conservative majority.
Trump has accomplished more in two years than most of his predecessors did in four to eight years!  Just imagine how much more he will accomplish during the next six years.
