An autopsy took place Monday, at which point the state medical examiner determined that Plourde had drowned, said Lisbon Police Chief Marc Hagan.

Hagan said the incident was accidental.

Plourde didn’t live at the property where her body was found, but had permission to be there and would often take walks on the property, according to Hagan.

At this time, pending any new information, the case is closed, the chief said. However if anyone does have information related to the case, they should still contact Sgt. Bill Tapley at the Lisbon Police Department at (207) 353-2500.
