ORONO — Alcohol, cocaine and cold caused the death of a teenager whose body was found in a snowbank in Orono early this month, said the state Medical Examiner’s Office.

The body of Alexie Adams, 19, of Orono was found by a passer-by on Feb. 3.

WMTW-TV reported the Medical Examiner’s Office concluded that the death was caused by acute intoxication, with hypothermia as a contributing factor. The death has been ruled accidental.

Police say Adams was with friends that night but got separated from them. State and local police are investigating.
