WINDHAM — Nick Curtis had 21 points and five rebounds Thursday night, helping Windham rally to a 55-50 victory against Scarborough in an SMAA boys’ basketball game.
The Eagles (10-5) trailed 38-32 through three quarters before spurting past the Red Storm (13-4).
Nick Fiorillo finished with 15 points and Kirk Paul added nine for Scarborough.
Mike Gilman added 11 points and nine rebounds, and Nathan Watson had seven points and seven rebounds for Windham.
BOOTHBAY REGION 78, MT. ABRAM 55: Kyle Ames scored a game-high 29 points and Steve Reny added 27 for the Seahawks (11-5), who pulled away from the Roadrunners (1-15) in the second half at Salem.
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
BONNY EAGLE 51, FALMOUTH 26: Mia Ferrante scored a game-high 13 points for the Scots (12-4), who took a 31-8 halftime lead and beat the Yachtsmen (4-11) at Falmouth.
Mackenzie Emery added 10 for Bonny Eagle.
Grace Soucy scored eight points to lead Falmouth.
BRUNSWICK 73, BIDDEFORD 37: Marley Groat had 17 points, eight assists and four steals, and Sabrina Armstrong added 14 points and five rebounds as the Dragons (16-0) defeated the Tigers (4-11) at Biddeford.
MacKenzie Burrows and Charlotte MacMillan each added 10 points for Brunswick, which took a 55-26 lead to the fourth quarter.
Grace Martin scored a game-high 18 points, going 16 of 17 from the foul line for Biddeford.
PORTLAND 59, NOBLE 41: Gemima Motema scored a game-high 26 points as the Bulldogs (11-4) beat the Knights (2-13) at North Berwick.
Raegan Kelly had 23 points, 11 rebounds and three assists for Noble.
Shayla Eubanks added 15 points for Portland.
LEAVITT 52, MT. ARARAT 48: Kayleigh Gilbert scored 14 points, including five in overtime, and Sophia Gilbert added 18 points to lead the Hornets (7-8) past the Eagles (4-12) at Turner.
Lauren Sturgess of Mt. Ararat scored a game-high 16 points with eight rebounds, and Theresa Breed finished with five points, including a layup with two seconds left in regulation to send the game to overtime.
BOYS’ HOCKEY
PORTLAND/DEERING 4, WINDHAM 2: Dom Tocci, Walter Lewandowski and Cam King each had a goal and an assist to lead Portland/Deering (7-6-2) past Windham/Westbrook (2-10) at Portland.
Trailing 4-0 in the second period, Windham got goals from Derek Corbett and Tom Lekousi.
Joe Herboldshiemer also scored for the Bulldogs.
GIRLS’ HOCKEY
FALMOUTH 6, CAPE ELIZABETH 5: Abigail Lebel had two goals and three assists, Sarah Wentworth scored twice and the Yachtsmen (6-10-1) held off Cape Elizabeth/Waynflete/South Portland (9-8) at Portland.
Stone Carmichael and Beatrice Johnson also scored for Falmouth, which led 3-0 after the first period.
Annie Guimond and Sophia Venditti each scored twice for Cape Elizabeth. Guimond’s second goal made it 5-4 with 5:42 left.
