South Portland Little Leaguer Richie Gilboy has gained a little Internet fame during his team’s stint in the Little League New England regional tournament. During player introductions before a game Thursday in Bristol, Connecticut, Gilboy appeared in a recorded pregame segment on ESPN and told the world “I take big daddy hacks.”
Then he hit a home run.

His big day earned him a little attention on ESPN’S SportsCenter. Gilboy’s Instagram account now has over 1,500 followers.
“Big Daddy Hacks” and the South Portland Little League team beat New Hampshire on Friday to advance to the regional final against Connecticut at 1 p.m. Saturday. The winner of that game will advance to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
