Maine State Police have resumed a search of the Presumpscot River in Westbrook for the second time in less than a week, but still won’t say what they are looking for.
State police dive teams spent several hours on Saturday searching the river near Ash Street. Steve McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety, said the search resumed Tuesday morning but he would not comment further on the purpose of the search.
The fiancé of missing Portland man Sebastian Kelley told WCSH that police told her a tip in the investigation into his whereabouts led to Saturday’s search in the river. Kelley, 30, was last seen June 17 in the area around Gilman Street in Portland.
