A 15-year-old girl reported missing in Westbrook has been found and is safe, according to police.

“No further information is being released at this time. Thank you to everyone for helping get the word out,” the Westbrook Police Department said in a written statement Thursday afternoon.

Madison Brown was reported to be missing since she was last seen Tuesday on Brown Street in Westbrook, and police asked for the public’s help locating her on Thursday morning.

Brown’s case was not believed to be related to another missing teenager, Jaedyn Smith, who was missing from June 23 to June 26, when she was located.
