NORTH BERWICK — Kennebunk got first-half touchdowns from Nolan Ragnarsson, Tripp Bush, Cam Lovejoy and Jake Littlefield as it clinched the No. 1 seed in the Class B South football playoffs with a 27-7 win Friday over Noble.
It was the 175th career win for Kennebunk Coach Joe Rafferty, whose team finished the regular season with an 8-0 record.
Noble is 1-7.
MARSHWOOD 19, YORK 11: Kyle Glidden scored the go-ahead touchdown on a 3-yard run just before halftime, and Cole McDaniel connected with Holden Jackman for a 77-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter as the Hawks (5-3) beat the Wildcats (3-5) in South Berwick.
York’s Trevor LaBonte kicked a 20-yard field goal in the first quarter to give the Wildcats an early lead and threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to Tim McDonald with just over two minutes remaining.
SCARBOROUGH 39, DEERING 0: Owen Garrard rushed for 170 yards and four touchdowns on 16 carries to lead the Red Storm (6-2) past the Rams (3-5) in Portland.
Scarborough quarterback Zoltan Panyi completed all four of his pass attempts for 119 yards, including a 19-yard touchdown to Eric Quirk.
Drew Leclair added a 25-yard touchdown run for the Red Storm, who led 18-0 at halftime and extended their lead to 32-0 in the third quarter on runs of 35 and 15 yards by Garrard.
WESTBROOK 28, GORHAM 0: Miece Loureiro rushed for 350 yards and four touchdowns on 22 as the Blue Blazes (6-2) cruised to a win over the Rams (0-8) in Westbrook.
After Westbrook took a 2-0 lead in the first quarter on a safety, Loureiro scored three times in the second quarter – from 6, 2 and 68 yards – to give the Blue Blazes a 20-0 advantage at halftime.
His 86-yard run in the third quarter and Devin Rowe’s 2-point conversion run capped the scoring.
Adam McKenney rushed for 155 yards on 27 carries for Gorham.
SANFORD 54, MASSABESIC 14: Frankie Veino tossed a 12-yard scoring pass to Ethan Belanger and rushed 17 yards for another touchdown in the first quarter as Sanford (5-3) opened a 21-0 lead on its way to a win over the Mustangs (0-8) in Waterboro.
Keith Kerrigan opened the scoring with a 45-yard run, the first of his two touchdowns.
The Spartans increased their lead to 42-6 in the second quarter. Gage Cyr blocked a punt and returned it 56 yards for a touchdown.
Massabesic scored on a 36-yard pass from Nick Roberge to Tommaso Mobiglia in the second quarter and an 88-yard run by Isaac DesVergnes in the fourth.
DIRIGO 12, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 6: Cooper Chiasson’s 66-yard run late in the third quarter gave the Cougars (4-3) a 12-0 lead, and they held off the Seagulls (3-4) at Dixfield to earn home-field advantage for a playoff rematch.
Dirigo took the lead in the first quarter on a 3-yard run by Caulin Parker.
Dylan Creswell cut into the deficit with a 5-yard run early in the fourth quarter, but an interception by Luke Lueders ended OOB’s best threat for a tying or winning touchdown.
The teams will meet again in the Class D South quarterfinals next weekend.
