Maine State Police said they arrested a Lyman man Saturday morning after he fired a gunshot in his house following an argument with his wife.

Glen Waterman, 32, was charged with criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon. He was taken to the York County Jail and bail was set at $500.

State police said in an online post that Waterman’s wife took the couple’s child and ran from the house after the argument with Waterman shortly before 8 a.m. Saturday. She was in the driveway of their home, talking on the phone to a state police dispatcher, when she heard the shot fired. The dispatcher also heard the shot over the phone, police said.

No one was injured in the incident and the handgun was found in the backyard of the couple’s home after Waterman’s arrest, police said.
