A man stole an undisclosed amount of drugs from a Rite Aid pharmacy in Naples Friday, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said.
Lt. Don Foss said a man entered the store at 665 Roosevelt Trail at about 5:15 p.m., walked to the back of the store and handed a note to the pharmacist demanding drugs. The man didn’t show a weapon, Foss said, but told the pharmacist that he would use “some degree of force” if he didn’t get the drugs.
The pharmacist handed over narcotics, Foss said, and the man – described as white, slender, in his mid-20s and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with a bandanna over the lower half of his face – ran out the store’s back door.
Detectives are looking at videotape from cameras in the Rite Aid, as well as footage from neighboring stores, to see if they can determine whether the man got into a car or escaped on foot after going out the back door.
No one was hurt in the robbery, Foss said.
