WELLS — Enjoy the best of art and craft July 9 and 10 at a summer craft show that is a festive tradition in Wells: the annual July Summer Solstice Craft Show. Now in its 34th year, the popular two-day event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at a new location – the Wells Junior. High School on Route 1 (1470 Post Road).

This juried craft show features more than 70 crafters and artists – most from Maine and other New England states – who display their handmade wares inside and also outside on the junior high grassy lawn. Traditional, contemporary and country crafts are featured. Crafts to be featured include stained glass, jewelry of all types, pottery, soaps, candles, wood crafts, fiber arts, graphics, photography, handcrafted specialty foods and much more. Many of the crafters and artists have been coming back for years, and they look forward to making new products for their customers.

The craft fair also includes music by folk musician John Tercyak of Bar Harbor. His CDs will be available for sale at the show. John has a strong following and has received many accolades as a performer.

Beach Dawgs Cafe will be offering luncheon specials. Their homemade, hearty Maine fare will please all palates.

The craft show is held rain or shine. Admission and parking are free.
