On February 3, 2016, Robin Ajay Noyes died from renal failure peacefully at home in her husband’s arms. Born in Manhattan on Nov. 2, 1942, she lived her early years in Bethel, Connecticut with her parents, Abe and Betty Ajay. She grew in to a beautiful spirit with love, compassion and wit being central to her existence.

She met and married her husband, John Noyes, in Phoenix, Arizona in 1981. They celebrated love and lived together for 34 years. They moved to Maine in 1986 and together operated their picture framing shop in Topsham since 1987. She loved classical music, rock and roll, discussing politics, good stories, humor, and nurturing her house… a home that was renowned to be of such charm and grace that it moved people with peace. She was an artist, poet and a musician. She could light up a room with her smile.

She is survived by her daughter Heidi Crain, and her husband Bob and grandson Tyler of Bethel, Connecticut, as well as her son Colin Dickinson and his wife Penny and grandchildren Heather, Sean and April of Phoenix, Arizona. She is also survived by her stepdaughter Willow and her husband Ethan Gutierrez and grandchildren Dante & Mina of Rapid City, South Dakota. Stepdaughter Sarah Noyes of San Francisco, California. Her brothers Steve and Anne Ajay of Pt. Reyes, California, and Alex and Susan Ajay in Sicily, Italy.

Now that she has passed, she is everywhere in Spirit. Robin was always more Spirit than matter. Listen for her voice of compassion. A memorial will be held in the spring in her honor.
