Maine State Police arrested two New York men on heroin trafficking charges after their car was pulled over for speeding on the Maine Turnpike in Kennebunk.
Trooper Robert Cejka spotted a car traveling north at 90 mph at 2 a.m. Tuesday morning and pulled it over, police said. Cejka’s police dog Maxx, a certified drug detection dog, indicated drugs were in the car.
Police found 152 grams of heroin hidden in the car’s trunk, police said.
Police charged Robert Hines, 28, and Jason Viorla, 30, both of the Bronx, with heroin trafficking and they are being held at the York County Jail on $20,000 bail.
