The Caring Community of Gray-New Gloucester would like to thank all the individuals, organizations, churches, businesses and schools who so generously donated time, money or food baskets. Through the Caring Community of Gray-New Gloucester, over 95 individuals, senior citizens and families in Gray and New Gloucester received a Thanksgiving food basket.

An especially huge thank-you goes out to all the sponsors who supplied Thanksgiving food baskets, especially the National Junior Honor Society at the Gray-New Gloucester Middle School. As is their annual custom, they donated 20 generously filled food baskets. What an awesome and caring community we live in.

The Caring Community of Gray-New Gloucester would like to express gratitude to the following organizations who sponsored families for Thanksgiving this year: Curves of Gray, Gorrill Palmer, Eastern Star, Boy Scout Troop 86, Church of Latter Day Saints, OTT Communications, GNG Community Service Club at Gray-New Gloucester High School, Optimist Club, American Legion Auxilliary, Tender Hearts Child Care, the Good Shepherd Methodist Church, Gray Country Day Care, First Congregational Church, St. Gregory Church, and the National Junior Honor Society at the middle school.

Christmas is right around the corner and the Caring Community of Gray-New Gloucester is gearing up to prepare deliveries of food baskets to individuals, senior citizens and families, along with gifts for children 18 and younger.

If you find yourself in need at the holidays, applications for Christmas assistance can be picked up and dropped off by Dec. 8 at all of the Gray-New Gloucester schools, at both town halls and at the Gray Public Library. Applications are also online at www.msad15.org/community/caring-communities.

And since every year brings more individuals and families seeking holiday assistance, sponsors and monetary donations are needed.
