SMCC regular season winds down
The fall sports season is rapidly reaching a close for Southern Maine Community College. Baseball took part in the NECA Tournament in New Hampshire last weekend, where the Seawolves downed the University of New Hampshire’s club team, 3-1, in the semifinals before losing, 4-1, to the College of St. Joe’s (Vermont) in the final. SMCC was home against Bridgton Academy Tuesday and wraps up its season Monday at Dean College. Softball finished its season with a 9-1 loss to the College of St. Joe’s in the NECA Tournament. Women’s soccer settled for a 2-2 tie at the University of Maine-Machias Sunday. The Seawolves (5-1-1 overall, 2-1-1 in conference) host Unity College Saturday, welcome U. Maine-Presque Isle Sunday and play host to rival Central Maine CC Tuesday. The men’s soccer team fell to 4-4-1 (3-1 in conference) after a 3-2 loss at U. Maine-Machias. SMCC hosted CMCC Wednesday, welcomes Unity Saturday, U. Maine-Presque Isle Sunday and the College of St. Joe’s Wednesday of next week. Golf will take part in the USCAA Nationals Sunday.
Running strength program upcoming
