Habitat for Humanity of Greater Portland will start building a 13-house project off Broadturn Road in Scarborough in mid-June, the nonprofit organization announced Thursday.

The project is the group’s largest to date, made possible by volunteers, sponsors such as Bank of America and IDEXX Laboratories, and community partners such as the Scarborough Housing Alliance, according to Habitat Executive Director Godfrey Wood.

The project is financed by Gorham Savings Bank and the Genesis Community Fund. The 20-acre development includes 15 acres of conservation land. For information on applying for one of the homes, visit habitatportlandme.org.
