SACO — Quinton Farr’s power-play goal with seven seconds left in regulation gave Cheverus a 1-1 tie against Scarborough in a boys’ hockey game Saturday at MHG Ice Centre.
Farr poked the puck past Scarborough goalie Ben Bragg from a scrum in front after the Stags (9-4-2) pulled goalie Kyle Severance for an extra attacker.
Matt Caron scored early in the second period for Scarborough (8-4-3), chipping Sean McDonald’s shot from the point past Severance for a power-play goal.
Severance finished with 33 saves, while Bragg made 32 saves.
CAPE ELIZABETH 3, CAMDEN HILLS 1: Jack Drinan scored the go-ahead goal 4:19 into the third period, and the Capers (8-7-1) beat the Windjammers (9-3) in Rockland.
Curtis Guimond added a power-play goal with 19 seconds left.
Guimond opened the scoring in the second period. James Annis tied it for Camden Hills.
MASSABESIC/BONNY EAGLE/OOB 4, MARSHWOOD/TRAIP 2: Cam Roy scored two goals, including the tiebreaker 6:23 into the third period, as the Mustangs (5-9-2) rallied past the Hawks (3-11) at Gorham.
Kyle Whitman and Tom Komulainen added a goal apiece for the Mustangs.
Nick Barrett scored both goals for Marshwood/Traip.
FALMOUTH 8, BIDDEFORD 1: Brandon Peters and Jake Grade each had two goals and an assist while leading the Yachtsmen (12-4) past the Tigers (7-5-2) in Falmouth.
Tyler Bellerose scored for Biddeford.
MESSALONSKEE 8, GREELY 0: Jake Dexter scored four goals and Brandon Nale added three for the Eagles (14-1) in a win over the Rangers (2-10-1) in Winslow.
Dylan Burton contributed a goal and four assists.
LAKE REGION/FRYEBURG/OXFORD HILLS 2, POLAND/GRAY-NG/OAK HILL 1: Peter Misner and Evan Kellough scored third-period goals, and David Long made 28 saves to lead the Ice Cats (7-6) to a win over the 26ers (5-8) at Bridgton.
Deryk Belanger scored for the 26ers with one second left. Nick Hemond stopped 23 shots.
NOBLE/WELLS 8, SOUTH PORTLAND/FREEPORT/WAYNFLETE 4: Dean Pratt scored five goals and assisted on a sixth to lead Noble/Wells (10-3) to victory in Rochester, New Hampshire.
Ryan Marsh contributed two goals and four assists.
Andrew Whipple tallied twice for the Red Riots (7-6).
WATERVILLE 3, YARMOUTH 3: Patrick Grant scored the equalizer with 3:57 left in regulation and Yarmouth (6-7-1) erased a two-goal deficit in the third period against visiting Waterville (8-4-1).
Matthew Madrid and David Gerken also scored for the Clippers.
LAWRENCE/SKOWHEGAN 6, BRUNSWICK 5: Trevor Lewis scored 1:20 into overtime to lift the Bandits (9-5-1) to a win over the Dragons (8-5) at Watson Arena.
Lawrence/Skowhegan erased a 5-3 deficit on goals by Sam Haver and Tyler Tompkins in the final 1:35 of regulation.
Jameson Cyr and Nate Granholm scored two goals apiece for the Dragons.
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
BOOTHBAY REGION 53, MADISON 30: Morgan Crocker scored 16 points and Sara Durgin had 11 to lead the Seahawks (17-1) over the Bulldogs (9-9) in Madison.
