The University of Maine baseball team will play Boston College at Goodall Park in Sanford on Tuesday, May 13. The location is fitting, as 12 players from the two schools have played for the Sanford Mainers of the NECBL in past summers or are slated tp this coming summer. UMaine’s Troy Black played in 2011, 2012 and 2013, and Deering grad Sam Balzano will play his third season in Sanford this summer. Sanford Mainers head coach Aaron Izaryk is also a UMaine alum.
First pitch is set for 5:30 p.m. and the game is free to the public.
