
The council is a regional alliance of eight chambers of commerce of the Mid-coast region of Maine from Bath- Brunswick to Searsport.
The Midcoast Chamber Council is lead by directors of the individual chambers of commerce and works on projects related to promoting the region. The council produces materials for tourism kiosks, does online and print advertising, produces the Maine’s Midcoast See Life! publication, administers the regional website www.mainesmidcoast.com, and keeps the Maine Office of Tourism abreast of major happenings in the region.
Formed on Aug. 1, 2011, through the consolidation of the Camden- Rockport-Lincolnville Chamber and the Rockland-Thomaston Area Chamber, the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce is the voice of business in Knox, Waldo, and northern Lincoln counties.
