BRUNSWICK
The Times Record has hired two multi-media sales representatives to cover territories in the advertising department.
Shelley King, who covers the Bath area, replaces Caelie Smith who was promoted to special projects director. Doug Parry, who covers Freeport and Richmond, is a returning employee.
King is from a small town in southeast Indiana, where she worked for the local newspaper and volunteered her time within the community. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from Indiana University.
Parry is back for a second stint with The Times Record, previously covering the southern territories as an advertising representative from 2001 to 2006.
With more than 20 years of sales experience and knowledge, Parry is excited to be back in his old stomping grounds as part of the TR staff.
Parry graduated from Norwich University in 1992, with a B.S. degree in business management and minor in marketing. He lives in Topsham with his wife, Kelly, and three daughters, Logan, Savannah and Abby.
“Both are seasoned veterans,” Publisher and Advertising Director Larry Hubner said. “They will serve the community well. We are very happy to add them to our team.”

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
