TOPSHAM — Since 2008, Crossfit 321 in Brunswick, has been improving community members’ strength, stamina and lives through their trainer-based fitness programs. Each day individuals of all ages participate and compete in hour-long workout sessions that improve their total body.

Now in its fifth year of existence, Crossfit 321 is moving to a larger venue in Topsham and will be hosting a New England-wide fitness competition called “The CrossFit 321 Summer Throwdown” on Saturday, Aug. 10.

The competition is an all-day event, starting with the first workout at 9 a.m. Throughout the day, teams of two athletes, broken-up into various divisions, will be competing in multiple competitions that will test their physical and mental toughness. At the end of the event, prizes for the top three teams in each division will be awarded. Currently, 200 athletes of all fitness levels have registered and will be traveling from all over Maine and New England to compete in this CrossFit event.

Ginny Machon, Crossfit 321 trainer said, “It’s going to be an exciting day. We are thrilled to move to a larger location where we can train more individuals. The competition itself will display some of Maine’s fittest athletes and it will be a fun and free event for all community members to attend.”

Crossfit’s new location is 62 Park Drive in Topsham.
