According to a news release, the keynote speaker will be Lynn Archer, owner/chef of two Mid-coast restaurants, The Brass Compass Café and Archer’s On The Pier.
Archer is a prime example of the entrepreneurial spirit of Maine women. She not only runs two restaurants but also snagged a coveted spot on the Food Network’s “Throwdown,” where she was pitted against celebrity chef Bobby Flay and won.
The cost is $65 for members and $75 for non-members and includes an afternoon workshop, from 2:15 to 3:45p.m.,tobefollowedbya4p.m. social hour, networking exercises, a buffet dinner, awards ceremony and silent auction concluding at 7:30 p.m.

The afternoon’s workshop, titled “Leading the Way with Vision, Determination, and Sense of Humor,” allows speakers to share perspectives on traits crucial to success in today’s world. The workshop includes Susan Corbett, owner and CEO of Axiom Technologies of Machias; Laurie LaChance, president of Thomas College in Waterville, and Nancy Marshall, principal, Nancy Marshall Communications in Augusta.
