PORTLAND — Maine Businesses for Sustainability (MBS) will be hosting its annual conference and workshop on Wednesday, April 3, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the University of Southern Maine’s Abromson Center in Portland.
Registration is from 7:30 to 8 a.m.
At the conference, businesses will hear about the practical and profitable approach to triple bottom line practices focused on people, profits and the planet. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to join two sustainability workshops of their choice, learn more about the Sustainability Benchmarking Tool, and network with other businesses.
The featured speaker is Karen Fleming, MBA program chair at Green Mountain College. Workshop speakers include people from Idexx, Cole Haan, Hannaford, Gulf of Maine Research Institute, Coastal Enterprises Inc., Maine Technology Institute, Goodwill of Northern New England and more.
