PORTLAND — George Isaacson, senior partner at Brann & Isaacson, has been named chairman of the board of trustees at MaineHealth, the state’s largest family of health-care providers.
An active member of the community, Isaacson served as vice chairman of the MaineHealth board for the past three years.
Isaacson is currently a member of the board of trustees of the Maine Public Broadcasting Network and the Bowdoin International Music Festival. He has also served as a trustee of Maine Medical Center. Isaacson is an adjunct faculty member at Bowdoin College, where he teaches constitutional law.
“George has been a valuable member of the MaineHealth board, and we’re honored that he’s accepted the chairperson role,” said Bill Caron Jr., president of MaineHealth. “His experience, wisdom, and community focused approach will serve this state well as we work toward our vision of helping to make our communities the healthiest in America.”
At the Lewiston-based law firm, Isaacson serves as general counsel to L.L. Bean.
Isaacson graduated from Bowdoin College and earned his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He lives in Brunswick with his wife, Margaret.
