According to a news release, Fletcher graduated from Brunswick High School in 2006. He also attended Maine Region 10 Vocational High School in Brunswick, studying outdoor power.
Fletcher attended the University Technical Institute in Orlando, Fla., graduating in March 2011, then attended the BMW STEP program, also in Orlando, graduating in November of the same year.
He was accepted into the National Honor Society of Alpha Beta Kappa.
Fletcher is the son of Susan (Fletcher) Phinney and Phillip Phinney of Bowdoinham.
