HARPSWELL — The Harpswell Business Association celebrated another year of supporting the local business community at its recent annual meeting, hosted at the Harpswell Inn by Dick Moseley.

According to a news release, new members were introduced, including Chris Heinig, who presented a brief overview of the Harpswell Oceanographic Center, Suzanne Nelson of Pott’s Harbor at Reversing Falls Lobster Pound, and Beth Leeman of the Wheelhouse Café.

A total of 40 members and visitors attended the meeting.

Moseley, the association’s president, reviewed recent accomplishments, including a co-op ad in the Southern Midcoast Maine Chamber’s summer guide, “Allure of the Coast.” Tom Allen and Gail Kass premiered the HBA’s promotional video “Harpswell … Midcoast Maine’s Hidden Treasure,” which was produced to show at the Yarmouth and Kittery visitor centers. Four new directors were elected to the board. The current nine- member board includes John Halpin from Tiles from Away, Chris Saxton of Dolphin Marina & Restaurant, Dick Moseley of the Harpswell Inn, Roy Tassinari of Bellevue by the Sea, Gail Kass of Ash Cove Pottery, Hank Thorburn of THOR Construction, Deb Wolfenden of the Common Table B&B and Event Center, Doug Bane of Gun Point Cove Gallery, and Donna Dillman of Captain’s Watch B& B and Sail Charter.

The next meeting of the Harpswell Business Association will be today at the Dolphin Marina & Restaurant, with a 6: 30 p. m. meet and greet and 7 p. m. business meeting. All interested businesses are invited to attend.
