PORTLAND — Casco Bay Technology Hub and Baxter Brewing Co. have joined forces to create PubHub, a monthly series of networking events to help Maine’s tech community unite to share ideas, meet new people, and have fun, according to a news release.
The inaugural PubHub will be held Tuesday at CBTH, a Maine-based tech community space on 30 Danforth St. that provides collaboration, partnerships, and networking opportunities. Baxter Brewing will provide beer it has craft-brewed in Lewiston.
“We founded Casco Bay Technology Hub to provide a physical space to unite our geographically fragmented tech community. PubHub is another way for us to connect,” said Tom Hall, CEO of Hall Internet Marketing, and a member of the CBTH advisory board.
Speaker each month
Each month’s PubHub will feature a speaker with realworld business expertise to share insight on technology and how it relates to business development, growth, and entrepreneurship. The February event’s speaker is Jason Cianchette, founder of Liquid Wireless, who will share his experience with growing a lead generation company on the mobile web.
The event’s premium sponsor is Integra Strategic Technologies Consulting, a CBTH member that offers full-service web design and development, including strategic planning, custom database solutions, ecommerce applications, and SEO optimization. Integra will provide snacks and wine.
Tuesday’s PubHub will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. The event is free, but attendees must pre-register at http://www.cascobaytechhub.com/tech-hubevents. php.
The sponsors of the monthly PubHub are Integra Strategic Technologies, Baxter Brewing Co., Time Warner Cable Business Class, Hall Internet Marketing, SMBME, and J.B. Brown and Sons.
