The Theater Project will bring back “Wales & Tales” for its annual holiday visit at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday at 14 School St.

“Al Miller and his merry band of holiday celebrants will offer an entertaining potpourri of stories and even a song or two,” a Theater Project release states. “The centerpiece of ‘Wales & Tales’ will again be Miller’s performance of Dylan Thomas’ ‘A Child’s Christmas in Wales,’ which some people say begins their celebration of the holidays. “

In addition to “A Child’s Christmas in Wales,” Miller will tell “The Mitten” and other holiday tales. The program will likely close with “A Cajun Night Before Christmas.”

“Both evenings will include music and audience participation, though singing and acting are encouraged, not required,” the release states.

Thursday’s performance will include a piece about a World War I Christmas truce, a true story featuring four actors from The Center Stage Players. Both performances will be suitable for the whole family, with Thursday geared a bit more toward adults.

Both performances also will benefit the Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program in Brunswick. Audience members are asked to bring a monetary donation or food for MCHPP.

“According to MCPP Executive Director Cyndy Carney, a monetary gift is more helpful than a food donation because the money is used to buy more food at special rates,” the release states. Checks should be made out to MCHPP.
